Most Seoul clinics take bookings on Naver or KakaoTalk — both effectively require a Korean phone number. That's why so many visitors assume you can't book at all. You can. Here are the four channels that work, in order of reliability.
1. WhatsApp or LINE (best)
A growing number of clinics run a WhatsApp or LINE account for international patients. Message them your treatment, preferred date, and nationality — most reply within a business day. Every clinic on SKINAVI that offers this shows a WhatsApp / LINE button on its profile, and the button goes straight to the clinic. We never sit in the middle of your conversation.
2. Email
Slower (1–3 days) but universal. Keep it short: treatment, dates in Seoul, and one question you need answered (e.g. "is the price the same for foreigners?"). If a clinic lists an email on our profiles, it's one the clinic actually monitors.
3. Naver Booking and web forms
Some clinics run an online booking page — look for the Naver Booking button on our clinic profiles. Naver's booking flow is in Korean, but the date-picking steps are manageable with your phone's translate feature.
One change worth knowing: since June 2026, Naver has offered passport-based verification for foreign visitors, which already unlocks map reservations and Naver Pay without a Korean phone number. Clinic bookings on Naver still generally assume Korean phone verification for now, so the channels above remain the reliable route — but this is the barrier starting to come down.
4. Walk-in
Plenty of clinics — especially in Myeongdong and Hongdae — take walk-ins. Weekday mornings are quietest, and popular Gangnam clinics are often reservation-only, so message ahead when you can.
Before you book: three questions worth asking
- "Is the price the same as for Korean patients?" — clinics with our Same price as locals badge have already confirmed this.
- "Is there a consultation fee?" — usually free, but not always.
- "Can I pay with a foreign card?" — almost always yes at foreigner-friendly clinics, but ask if you're carrying no cash.
